Bushnell Pinseeker Medalist Review
As with every type of item, there are often the premium versions, and the ‘budget’ versions. In most cases the budget versions are really just the bare bones of what the premium version is, and so the Bushnell Pinseeker Medalist review was pleased to note that it was not the case with this model. Admittedly, the Medalist is no Slope, but it doesn’t have to be in order to be of service on the golf course.
Limited Options, but not Too Limited
Part of the beauty that was found in the Bushnell Pinseeker Medalist review is the fact that for all its limitations compared to its ‘premium’ cousins, it still had some nice features. A reduced range of 1,000, for example, is not crippling in the slightest, and is still a fairly respectable number.
While the 4x magnification is less as well, and could possibly make targeting that little bit harder, the Bushnell Pinseeker Medalist review discovered that there is an additional ‘Rain target’ mode which reduces this downside. Whereas most rangefinders would face difficulties when targeting in the rain, the Medalist, despite its reduced magnification, does well due to the presence of this specialized mode.
Accuracy is not compromised in the slightest, and the measured one yard variance during the Bushnell Pinseeker Medalist review matches that of superior models.
‘Budget’ Version of ‘Premium’ Technology
It is in the area of targeting that the Bushnell Pinseeker Medalist review really found it to be outstanding, mostly due to the presence of the ‘Pinseeker’ targeting mode. This feature, that is found on the premium models of this product line, is one that would not normally be found on a ‘budget’ version, and that it is included really does make the Medalist an attractive option.
Basically, the Pinseeker targeting mode allows for easy ‘locks’ on the flag while ignoring all background targets. In essence, by being available on the Medalist, one would not have to fork out over a hundred dollars extra for such technology.
Although, admittedly, the Bushnell Pinseeker Medalist review is fully aware that it cannot possibly compare to the Slope, or Tournament, the Medalist does fit perfectly for the needs of many golfers who do not really want a ‘premium’ rangefinder, but would like one which made their life easier for a lower cost.
As far as value for money and features go, the Medalist is certainly an attractive and appealing option that should be considered.
