It’s not always easy to seek out good golf tips. Some of us have a hard time admitting that we don’t already know everything there is to know about the game of golf. If you want to improve the way you play, however, and you want to achieve better results on the golf course then you have to reach a point where you swallow your pride and seek out the advice of those who may have golfing skills and techniques that are more advanced than yours. Are you willing to forgo your ego to achieve a better game of golf?

When I started asking around for some good tips to improve my game of golf some of the answers I got were repeated by more than a few of the golfers I talked to. I figured if so many good golfers were sharing the same advice there had to be something to it. These are some of the tips that I heard more often than not…

• You need to make sure that your golf clubs and your ball position correspond back to posture.

• When making your swing make sure that your head is centered over the ball.

• Your front foot needs to face the target at a 20-degree angle.

• When making your back swing you need to be sure that your left heel barely lifts off the ground.

• At the top of your back swing your left arm needs to be straight.

• Make sure that you are pushing off with your right foot, turning your weight left with your hips and not your legs.

• Do not swing “at” the ball. Rather, swing through it and fallow the swing all the way through, past the point of impact.

• Do not break your swing into a series of broken motions. Even though your golf swing consists of different components, fluidity is important for a good result.

Let’s face it, everyone loves to give advice. I’ve had people who have no idea what they’re doing themselves try to tell me how to play a game of golf. That being said, I also realize that I am not, by any means, the best golfer on the course and many of the better golfers all gave me the same advice when I began asking them for golf tips.

If you’re not happy with the way you’ve been playing golf try the golf tips above. You may be surprised at just how much of a difference it can make in how you play on the course.
