Great deals to be had with Factory Refurbished GPS Units…

Factory Refurbished GPS allow you to buy a unit with all the bells and whistles for the price of a basic unit. I bought a Garmin 330 about 3 years ago and back then it cost $399.00 for just a basic unit. Today you can get an even better model for a third or less then what I paid. Factory Refurbished GPS are defiantly the way to go, and yes my GPS unit still works fantastic… I would never want to travel anywhere without it.

I also have an iPhone and it does have GPS built in but I have to tell you the smart phone GPS features are not even close to the stand alone GPS units. The smart phones lack a lot of the basic features of the stand alone GPS units like accurate turn-by-turn voice instructions also they usually have millions of POIs (points of interest) to help you find Gas or Atm’s etc.

In my opinion the smart phones biggest drawback when compared to a GPS unit is that it is still a phone and if you get a call while you are trying to get off a highway or need to make a turn then what? Best to have a dedicated GPS unit when you’re traveling keep the phone for what it was made for phone calls…
