I am not a stupid person, but I really do not understand this piece? I thought it went around arm. I now see it is fro around the chest. I still can not figure out where to find the HR.
It may be I am just very unfamiliar with this product, but we will be returning it.

Works great – replacement for Forerunner 305 HR monitor. Did not detect automatically, just go to settings –> general –> accessories and it will scan for your heart rate monitor. Great product!

This product is mislabeled. It is actually a heart rate transmitter. It does not include a display to be worn on the wrist or to be mounted on a training device. This seems to be the only transmitter listed by Amazon that is labeled as a monitor. Other products listed as monitors are complete sets–chest transmitter and display reciever. There is nothing in the product description that makes this clear. So I have to return this product and obtain the transmitter and reciever.

High quality product with sturdy strap. Make sure to force the head unit to scan for HRM on the first use.

I bought this item as a replacement…..I thought that I lost my original monitor, but later found it in my truck after I purchased this replacement.
