Garmin edge 205 unpack

I just upgraded my bikes onboard computer. I selected the Garmin edge 205 because I didnt want the heart rate monitor of the 305. I’m taking this on my ride from SF to OC next week and will let you know about how it performs. Please check at bikingoc.wordpress.com

You can get the 305 for $179??? Where??
A fellow cyclist has given me his copy of memory maps and I was further amazed at just how much the 205 can do. Not to fussed about my heart rate as it’s still beating so far lol. Looking forward to posting my rides which are mainly off road on to the my garmin site . Good luck with your 305 …..
Thats a great deal.. £75 ends up around $125. The 205 I got was about $199.. I was able to get the 305 with the heart rate strap for $179. I just need to get the cadence package to complete the set.
I picked up a 205 edge for £75 from my local halfords store. it was supposed to be £90 however I was offered a discount and managed to beat them down a bit more as it was display item although it has never been on. Have only just finished playing with it but I think I got a bargin after looking at what it normally retails for.
It turns out I did. I found the 305 for $20 less than the 205 and it included the chest strap for the HRM so I took the 205 back and returned the 205 for the 305. I used the 305 this weekend to bike Lake Tahoe.
how can u not want the heart rate monitor?
