I enjoyed an IFR flight from Torrance to Carlsbad, CA in a Cessna172 G1000, 2007yr model. It is not us, but Garmin G1000 flies the airplane, and shoots an approach. G1000 is so smart. Hand-flying starts in the very very short final (from the middle marker, 200ft AGL).
