Garmin GPSMAP 540 Receiver – Review
The Garmin GPSMAP 540 receiver can be had for between $450 and $900, depending on the model. It mounts easily to your boat and contains several preloaded BlueChart g2 maps that will guide you around the coast of both the Bahamas and the USA. It’s simple display is a 5″ QVGA viewer with easy to use menus and buttons.
This is a marine type of GPS with a 12 channel receiver. It holds 20 routes and around 1500 waypoints. It contains 20 tracks with USA maps that are displayed on a 5″ screen.
