In regards to mapping and all the GPS aspects of the Nuvi 1350T I have no complaints. I returned it for one reason – because it interferes with my aftermarket stereo remote control. I have a Pioneer aftermarket head unit in my car and it seems the FM receiver in the Nuvi 1350T powercord unit interferes with the stereo remote. The remote will work for a little while but eventually stops working at all. Disconnect the GPS and everything works fine. I am going to try the Nuvi 1350 (which does not come with the FM receiver). I would rather go without the traffic updates than my stereo remote.

I really like this Garmin. My problem is that it comes with very few written instructions. I can’t figure out how to use the traffic feature or the blue tooth feature. But aside from that it is great.

Whoa Baby! This is a neat unit! I have owned a Nuvi 360 for about 2 1/2 years and really liked it. I had purchased two other units this past year wanting to upgrade but was less than thrilled with the performance – for the increased cost. The first was the Navigon 7200T and that was a really nice unit but a few shortcomings. (later to no longer be sold in the US) The other was the Nuvi 885T. The 885T was an okay unit but did not impress me one bit. The concept of the MSN Direct was nice but spotty coverage in Michigan and very slow to update when you were in range. The unit seemed big and cheap.
This 1350T is the sweet spot in my opinion. I never used the bluetooth on my 360 – have a bluetooth headset thank you – and the mp3 player just was not a need with ipod or satellite radio. I was hesitant to upgrade as some of the reviews really bashed the newer Nuvi’s from lack of a USB cable to no case to the fact that they are made cheaper. Well, my 360 is awesome and it was also made overseas. Some reviewers bash Garmin for the lack of a powered mount. My 360 had this and I thought it was a big deal as well until I actually received this unit. It’s not a big deal. Pricing is competitive – give me a break. It does not change the functionality of the unit and they have really cool friction mounts for the dash now….much rather pay less for the unit and buy the mount I prefer. Lack of a USB cable – okay, I admit this is a little over the edge. I am a tech nut and fortunately had a cable that would work but I know that not everyone will. Garmin went cheap here but at least when you call customer service you talk to an American that is easy to understand (thanks Garmin) and really enjoys helping people. My experience with their website and phone support was WONDERFUL! This kind of experience is hard to find in recent years. Did I already say thanks Garmin?!
This 1350T is awesome! The improved interface is very nice. A few features such as holding the back arrow will allow you to jump to the main menu. On the 360, sometimes you would have to hit the back button up to 6+ times to get back to the main menu. Also, the size and feel of this unit is amazing. Smaller, thinner and a rubbery back and side coating make it less likely to slide out of your hands…..I have had to reach around near my feet in the car looking for my 360. The screen and graphics are excellent!
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the functionality of this newer generation of Nuvi’s. Look for a good sale and jump on this unit. Unfortunately, Amazon did not have this unit (Prime) when I was ready to buy so I went with a screaming deal elsewhere. (Amazon rocks and is my favorite place to shop – look for their app on Android, Blackberry or iPhone – takes shopping to a whole new level!
Enjoy!

I bought the Garmin nuvi 1350T because it was the most up to date Navigator with all the features I need to get me from A to Z. I thought the price was very reasonable and I bought it through Amazon. I mostly used the excellent reviews on Amazon and liked the way the various navigators were comparred. I have used it around Orange County, CA for the past few weeks and found it to be very accurate. This past Sunday I was traveling from one Furniture store to another and was certain it was getting me lost when suddenly we were right where we wanted to be. My wife and I laughed that it was a lot smarter then we were about directions. The voice is nice and loud at 80% (Im a little hard of hearing) which seems to be problem with so many of the earlier navigators. It takes a little getting used to the entry system but I find using the eraser end of a pencil best for entry onto the touch screen sitting at my desk programming locations I want to travel to. One problem was there seems to be no directions as how to enter destinations in the little Quick Start manual which I find distrubing. Is’nt that what its all about? Seems Garmin missed one there. But once you figure it out its not too hard to enter destinations. I live in a 3 story cement condo and live on the middle floor and still get the satellite signal. The only thing I wish I had is the voice entry model but did not feel it was worth the extra $200. I also bought this navigator because of the lifetime Traffic included. One other thing. I also bought this model because the car cable that plugs into the 12 volt car system plugs directly into the navigator (rather than the base holder). This is important if you are going to get the best base holder for your car, not the one that comes iwth the unit which is glued to the windshield which is not lawful here in California. So plugging the cord directly into the unit rather than a base which I could not use in CA was very important. Also buy two weighted holders one for your car and one for your desk. All in all I’m very happy with the 1350T.

After giving my son my GPS when he moved, I did a little research and purchased the 1350T. I hate this unit and I am disappointed that Garmin knew there was a problem when they released it.The manual warned about screen freezes and the unit certainly exceeds at that. Freezes about once every 4 hours. has to be unplugged for a minute or so to clear it and this happens at awful times. The pop-up hotel coupons work really well(not exactly a feature I value). At this point, Garmin, the “gold standard’ in GPS deserves it’s dwindeling market share.
