Garmin Nuvi 260W – Consumer Complaints and Comments
Who is the Garmin Nuvi 260W for? It’s for anyone who drives a lot, either for a living or as part of transport mode. It is a gadget that will save you a lot of money, time and stress. Examples of stress can be found in juggling paying attention to your screaming kids at the back and keeping an eye out for the next junction turn off on the motorway. If you have one of these gadgets your risk of accidents will be extremely low.
When it comes to the features navigation is just the beginning. The Garmin Nuvi 260W features travel tools including JPEG picture viewer, world travel clock with time zones, currency converter, measurement converter, calculator and more. Also included is a Garmin Lock, an anti-theft feature, and configurable vehicle icons that will enable you to select car-shaped graphics to show your location on the map. The GPS system is preloaded with Navigation North America NT, 4.3-inch touch screen display with 20/20 mapping perspective.
The text to speech feature of the Garmin Nuvi 260W means that the device automatically calls out street names(saying “turn left on main street” instead of “turn right in 300 feet”). This feature lets the driver focus on the road while navigating through busy traffic and be able to talk to passengers especially kids at the same time.
I personally bought bought the Garmin Nuvi 260W to help with work and family travels. After exhausting research with Magellan, Tom Tom and Mio, I bought it for three reasons. First of all the ease of use. secondly for its screen clarity and third but not least its amazing accuracy. Don’t think I have any connection with Garmin. No, I am in a totally different trade and industry.
There is one hiccup though, once while I was trying to type, the wrong letter was selected. But a simple reboot i.e switching it off then on corrected the problem. Another reason I choose the Garmin Nuvi 260W over other models was the price. Awesome GPS for a great bargain.
