I have five other Garmins. This one is cool, but without a filter for trucks it is a real let down. Hope they can add this filter. The screen changes color when entering traffic, very cool. Please are there more bikes and pedestrians using GPS than commercial vehicles & trucks?

I have purchased 3 garmin products and in general have liked the products. After having my Garmin 680 for about 18 months I purchased (just recently) the lifetime subscription to MAPS to update the maps – that is a joke. My Garmin started to experience issues with the touch screen a few weeks ago and finally would not work at all. I bought another Garmin thinking I would be able to transfer my subscription from a honerable company right? WRONG. I bought this lifetime subscription just a few months ago and they will not honor the subsciption.
DO NOT BUY GARMIN OR FOR SURE NOT THE SUBSCRIPTION (LIFETIME)

I purchased my Garmin 785T for $349.00 on 6 Oct 09 from Amazon.com. I love it. It has all the features a person would want, except to alert you if you are speeding. I had a Tom Tom that you could set the speed limit and it would warn you if you exceeded the limit. Well, one month to the day (6 Nov 09) my Garmin 785T would not take a charge. I called Garmin and they very helpful and told me to send them the GPS and they will sent me a new unit. The 785T is a top of the line GPS. Using the MSN cable you can even get Weather Radar…

Bought a 785 and it worked straight out of the box…and couldn’t have been easier.
Downloaded a Garmap African Map and put it on with just a couple of phone calls to Garmap in Johannesburg who are fast and resposnive. GarMIN customer service may be poor but the guys at GarMAP in South Africa are efficient and knowledgeable and fast.
Nothing to moan about…5 stars all round.
