I’ve actually never used that function as all my maps are ‘open’.
My ‘best guess’ would be that the procedure would be
Compile the Map as per normal
use send map/mapsource to get all the tiles you need in one piece on the SD card
Then run the locking function
This would be just a guess, as I’ve never even *seen* the locking function work, but it would be where I’d start.
Hi again, do you have a tuter on the sd card lock function in cgpsmapper
Tanx
I assume you mean the track you take and put in to a custom Garmin map (rather than the track log, as gathered on your GPS). Look in to “TYP” files. They don’t work on all models of GPS, so if you’re planning on distributing your map, I’d advise against relying on them, but for personal use, they can be very useful.
Another option (easier), is to pick a different entity type (other than Walkway/Trail) to use for your track logs, and then make sure you put a label on each track.
Thanx for this very usefull info,i would like to have my tracks displayed as bright blue on the gps ,any suggestions?
You have a couple of options:
1. Upload something else to it (it will erase the old map)
2. Reset the GPS
3. If you have access to the GPS as a USB Mass Storage Device, delete the file gmapsupp.img from it.
Excellent tutorial… I just have a question.
I made an useless map just for trying. How can I delete it from my etrex Legend H?
Thanks!
