This tutorial will show you how to transfer routes made in Google Earth to your Garmin GPS (mine is an eTrex Legend HCx). You will need: 1-Google Earth 2-KML To GPX Converter 2 Get it here: www.mediafire.com 3-MapSource (Or EasyGPS)

why is it that when I do this, the gpx file comes into mapsource as a track not a route such as yours is here?
what if I just want to transfer a whole city’s worth of info into the GPS? is that doable?
@Sarels It should work on most portable Garmins that use MapSouce. I have also tested it on a Garmin GPSMAP 76Cx and it works fine on it too.
@stjernefodt Thanks! Will it work with any other Garmin GPS? or other brands as well?
@Sarels eTrex Legend HCX
Which Garmin GPS are you using?
dude… ENORMOUS THANK YOU. I needed this so much
wow, your awesome !!!!!!!!!!
you should be a teacher or an inventor or both !!!!!!
justo lo que andaba buscando, muchisimas gracias…¡¡¡
thank you thank you thank you
Excellent info…Thanks! On my first attempt I put in too many waypoints…..
I think that you will find that this will only work with plotter type Garmind such as Etrex, Gecko, 296 atc – ie walking or aviation units which usw coordinate based waypoints. Nuvis etc calculate their routes differently within their street database.
Well on my Garmin eTrex Legend, there’s an option called Routes. I just select that and choose any route that’s available, and the GPS does the rest.
Once it’s on the GPS device, how do you use it? I have a nuvi 255W and I can’t find routes in there anywhere.
I’ve added a link to the converter on the video description. Thanks.
Where can I find this converter? Can’t seem to find that cool drag and drop thing.
Hi where did youget the KML to GPX converter?
are you living that street?
