tomtom has that and i got lower model for 100 bucks
i still like tomtom better then garmin even with less graghics because its more accurate roads and thats what you pay for also it gathers information from different road users also including mapshare
I shure wish all the GPS manufactures would have detailed video on their site. I nead a easy set speed alert and pc type keyboard ,Qwerty. Have a garmin getting a Tom Tom next

I am also looking to purchase this device for “out of the US” driving (Puerto Rico). There, the strreets are not always named or you may have the same name for ten diffent roads in one town.
Garmin is the Best GPS built. if you are looking for a place or doing road trips and you go off the path no worries the Garmin will redirect your path and you can keep proceeding with out turning around and also more features have been added like food places and gas stations just about everything a driver would want to know the garmin offers it.
i have a garmin and is pretty good… yes may be the most expensive but is exelent.
i can get lost in just a turn and whit my garmin it just don´t hapen anymore.

Too bad Navigon no longer makes units to support US maps. They could have ovetaken Garmin they are awesome units.
Gripes about the map are a flaw of the map, not the device. Get a better map.
In Thailand where I live, the Garmin is unsurpassed. Their maps are simply the best, nothing else even comes close.
This (as with most) GPS reviews assumes everyone lives in the USA…

Sony Cheats! if you travel from any USA city to Mexico City for example your NV-U 83T will go blank once you cross the border line as SONY DOES NOT MAKE MEXICO MAPS AT ALL N OR ANYBODY
With all the extra bells and whistles these gps are now including, photo viewing, mp3 ability, etc. Why are there so few that will accept a video input so I can have a backup camera? That is an actual “real” need where using it to do a “slide show” of my pics of Italy is NOT !

they should have tested garmin, magellen, tomtom+those others
I’ve used many different GPS navs but Garmin is definitely the best (quality, accuracy, fast calculation) trust me you won’t regret buying Garmin, one more IMPORTANT thing when you buy a Garmin make sure update your maps in first 60 days you can get a free update

Garmin works great for normal long distance travel or multiple destination. Only problem I had was in the major cities like Chicago, because it can’t distinguish lane well enough sometimes it gets me confused.(it has to do with GPS accuracy, I think more expansive model might have a better chip, my nuvi 260 cost 150 bucks) Plus in big cities with a lot of skyscraper, you GPS signal can get cut off sometimes. When you are in the cities, better walk get a cab, take the subway or bus.
People who prefer GARMIN probably prefer PCs to MACS… With TomTom, you can install South Park voices! Modify your maps with custom trails. Custom POI categories. Share Maps. Way superior technology! TomTom ROCKS!
